SASTM is a system that addresses the body’s soft tissues, which include skin, fascia, muscles, tendons, and ligaments among others.  SASTM utilizes specialized instruments that help the physical therapist identify adhesions, fibrosis, fascial restrictions, scar tissue, trigger points, acupoints, and many other soft tissue abnormalities.  Once any of these abnormalities have been identified, a skilled clinician can use the instruments effectively to “break-up” the soft tissue anomalies, and allow the body to absorb the waste product.  The body can then be guided through the stages of healing to achieve the utmost level of functional ability.
